Tracy C. (Boswell) Cochran

HARTFORD CITY, IN

     Tracy C. (Boswell) Cochran, 72, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, October 30, 2024 in the comforts of her own home.

     Born in Gary, Indiana, on September 9, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Helen (Graham) Boswell.  She grew up in Hartford City, graduating in 1970 from Blackford High School.  She then obtained her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Ball State University.

     Tracy was a dedicated employee of Midwest Metals in Muncie, where she was a corporate accountant for several years.  She enjoyed collecting antiques and painting.  Most of all she cherished the time she spent at the Presbyterian Church.

     She leaves behind her loving husband, soulmate and companion, Ron Blakely; her brother Mike (wife, Kathy) Boswell of Austin, Texas; son, Gavin (wife, Taytum) Cochran, two grandchildren:  Payton Cochran and Gannon Cochran of Columbia, SC;  two step-children: Melissa (Jason) Gabet, two step- grandchildren, Charlie & Jessica of Fort Wayne IN; Jeremy (Pavlina) Blakely, three step-grandchildren: Weston, Amalia & Cassidy of Warsaw, IN; Niece: Melissa (Jason) Snell and nephew, Daniel (Anna) Boswell.

     A memorial visitation, celebrating her life, will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2024   in the Waters Funeral Home, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., Please feel free to share a memory or story about Tracy at 5:00.

   Per Tracy’s wishes cremation has been held and memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Blackford County Animal Shelter 2520 N 200 E Hartford City, IN  47348.
