Timothy Wayne Cook
March 23, 1960 – March 18, 2024
Timothy Wayne “Tim” Cook, 63 of Marion, passed away Monday at his home, of natural causes.
He was the son of the late Charles and Peggy (Glover) Cook and was a 1978 graduate of Marion Bennett High School.
Tim was currently a superintendent contracted with Weiss Construction and helped build several projects including gas stations and car washes. For several years, he was a contractor supervising the building of Aldi Stores throughout the country. He also belonged to the Carpenters and Labor Union.
He loved NASCAR, boating, bon fires, old western t.v. shows, any get-togethers and animals of all kind. He especially loved his dog Marley, who went with him everywhere. Tim loved spending time with his family and friends and taking care of his home. He knew construction like the back-of-his-hand and was very much into building anything you could think of. He loved to help anyone who needed a helping hand. He loved teaching his grandsons about work and work ethics. He loved calling his nephew, Kirby Cook and Quentin, when he needed muscle. Also, Tim loved teaching anything he knew and if any work he’d done wasn’t perfect, he would work on it until it was.
He leaves behind his daughter, Ashley Sickler (Bill Ronco); grandchildren: Carter Sickler and William Ronco, Jr.; eleven siblings: Linda (Bob) Tempini, Cathy (Bill) Lofton, Terry (Leta) Cook, Todd Cook, Carol (Rich) Fairbanks, Lisa (Greg) Sheward, Janet Arnold (Scott Townsend), Jennifer (Tony) Bailey, Melanie (Tod) Waters, Marlene (Paul) Powell and Ted (Amanda) Cook. Additionally, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and several long-time friends: Danny Helton, RJ (Kelli) Kistler, Ron Eib and several other cherished friends.
In addition to his parents, Tim is preceded in death by his grandson, Tucker John Farmer on Aug. 11, 2013; brother Tom on June 20, 2016 and his grandmother, Delight Purvis.
Services will be held Thursday, Mar. 28th in the Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City. Cremation will follow.
Viewing and visitation will on Thursday, March 28th, beginning at 10:00 a.m., until services at 2:00.
