Thelma L. Scott

Thelma L. Scott, 85, died Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at University Nursing Center, Upland.  A native of Stearns, KY, to Claude and Ethel (Duncan) Tucker.  She had resided in Hartford City since 1953 and was the widow of Jerry Scott who died in 1990.

Survived locally by daughter, Beth Scott; sister, Phyllis (Daniel) Smith and seven grandchildren. Also survived by a sister Connie (Danny) Polly, a brother-in-law, Charles Hall and a daughter and son, both out-of-State.

Preceded in death by her parents and husband; brothers: James H. (and wife, Jeanette) Tucker and Tom (and wife Dillie) Tucker; three sisters: Lois Pennycuff, Faye (and husband, Floyd) Davis, and Joan Hall. 

Services are at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 2, in Waters Funeral Home, Hartford City, with Pastor Mark Wilkerson presiding. Cremation will follow with interment at a future date in the Hartford City Cemetery.  Visitation and viewing will be from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
