Sandra K. "Sandy" (Dodds) Vajko, 64, passed away Friday, November 11, 2016 in IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.

Sandy was born in Hartford City on May 7, 1952 to Richard Lee and Betty M. (Hammond) Dodds, Sr., attended schools here and married Tony Vajko in Florida on April 19, 1975.

Sandy and her husband returned to Harford City over twenty-five years ago. She enjoyed spending time with her family, enjoyed fishing and was known for her special love of animals.

Her family she leaves behind include her mother, Betty M. Dodds (companion Rant Elliott) of Hartford City; her husband Tony, one daughter, Paula Jo (husband, Bryan) Penegar of Kansas City, KS; her
brother, Robert L. "Bobby" Dodds, Jr. (wife, Ivory) of Oldsmar, FL; seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father in 1976, her brother, Richard Lee Dodds, Jr. in 1976 and her sister, Patricia L. Ramseyer in 2004.

Visitation and viewing will be held at Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2016. Cremation and inurnment will follow the viewing, with no additional services planned.
