Philip Joe Curtis, 63, died Saturday, November 2, 2024 at his home.
Born on December 24, 1960 in Hartford City, he was the fifth of seven sons born to Hubert A. and Irene (Doty) Curtis. After of the death of his mother, in 1974, he lived in Arkansas with his grandmother a few years.
Joe, as most knew him, returned to Hartford City, where he was a long-time and faithful employee of the Hartford Pallet factory.
He leaves behind, two brothers: Alan (Pam) Curtis of Bluffton and Delbert Curtis of Hartford City. Additionally, nieces and nephews and long-time, close friends of the family, Gaylord and Doris Barr of Hartford City.
In addition to his mother, his father passed in 1993; four brothers preceded him: Steven, Bruce, Kenneth and Ronald.
Memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12th at Waters Funeral Home, with Pastor Steve Rogers presiding. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service. He will be laid to rest at the Hartford City Cemetery at a future date.
