HARTFORD CITY, IN—
Pauline J. “Peanut” Lugar, 79, passed away Tuesday afternoon at IUHealth Blackford Hospital.
Born on October 12, 1940 in Lebanon, Missouri, she was one of five children born to Floyd and Lelia (Davis) Elam and was a 1958 graduate of Hartford City High School.
She enjoyed playing Bingo and spending time with family and friends.
In 2002, Pauline returned to Hartford City after residing in Huntington. She formerly worked at HMP Corporation as a welder in manufacturing.
She leaves behind two sons: Gregory Allen Lugar (Jody) and Michael Lugar, all of Hartford City.
Eight Grandchildren: Jonathan (Katie) Lugar, Amber (Ben) Alexander, Erica Combs, Amanda Lugar, Joseph Lugar, Nicole Lugar, Devon Lugar, and Madison Lugar; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Two sisters; Carol Whitesell and Peggy Holsten, both of Hartford City. One brother, Charles (Brenda) Elam of Maxwell, Ind.; a sister-in-law, Pauletta Elam, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, her brother James “Jim” Elam precedes her in death.
In accordance to her wishes, no services are to be held. Waters Funeral Home 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City, is handling cremation arrangements.
