Patricia H. "Patty" Cale, 55, passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning, December 4, 2016 at her residence.

She was born June 28, 1961 to Charles L. "Chuck" Christman, Sr. and Martha L. "Marty" (Murnyack) Christman, growing up and residing in this area her whole life. Patty graduated from Blackford High School in 1979 and married Rex Cale on February 14, 1981.

Patty was an Operating Engineer, being employed by E & B Paving for several years and more recently employed by Fox Contractors. She excelled in sewing and was known for her great cooking as well as crafts and art/crafting.

Her love for her grandchildren was her greatest passion.

She leaves behind her husband, Rex; one son Rhett Cale (Robin Hollin) of Shirley, IN; one daughter, Kelly Cale (Matthew "Davy" Dyer) of Hartford City; Two grandchildren, Jerod Dyer & Kenley Dyer and a third grandchild, Charlotte Rose Cale, expected in January 2017. Five brothers: Charles "Chuck" Christman, Jr. (Lisha), David (Tracy)Christman, Daniel (Sara) Christman, George Christman, and Christopher Christman. Three sisters: Sandra (Perry) Clamme, Elizabeth (Greg) Ellis and Elaine (Trent) Myers.

She is preceded in death by her father on April 19, 1984, her mother on November 25, 2001 and her sister, Denise Martin earlier this year.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2016 in the Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St. Hartford City, with Rev. Bobby Thomas presiding. Burial will follow the service at the Elizabethtown Cemetery, in Northern Delaware County.

Visitation for friends and family will be from 4 - 8 p.m. Friday, December 9th and an hour before the service on Saturday.
