Pat McAtee, 71, passed away late Wednesday afternoon, November 1, 2023, in the comfort of his own home and surrounded by family.
Pat was born in Hartford City, December 8, 1951 to Joseph and Marjorie (Johnston) McAtee. Pat graduated from Blackford High School in 1970. He then went on to earn his Associates degree at Vincennes University in marketing.
Pat returned to Hartford City to join in the family business, Joe’s Foods. In 1983, Pat moved to Hartford Concrete Products. Pat worked in the metal fabricating department for eighteen years.
After Concrete, he started his metal fabricating business: “Fabrication Specialists” where he was a metal fabricator/metal artist.
Pat was a lover of the ocean and all of the outdoors. He was an avid water skier, fisherman, trap shooter and river runner. Paddling was a special interest, whether it was in a raft, kayak or canoe, Pat paddled hundreds of miles in his lifetime.
But, the most important part of Pat’s life, was his family and friends. Pat leaves behind his loving wife, Brenda; son, Jesse of Tampa, FL; daughter, Rachael of Indianapolis; brother, Kerry and his wife, Beth and his seven wonderful grandchildren: Hannah, Lauren, Mackenzie, Aliyana, Jaiden, Keira and Bo.
He touched so many lives, we that were close to him, will sorely miss him and remember him always.
…”Rest In Peace Eddie”
