HARTFORD CITY, IN –

Norma J. Strine, 87, passed Tuesday afternoon, April 12, 2022 at Stillwater Hospice of Fort Wayne.

She was born and raised in Eaton, Indiana on January 21, 1935, the daughter of Marvil Clayton and Wretha (Wright) Darnell and graduated from Eaton High School, class of 1953.

On April 17, 1956 she married John Allen Strine in Hartford City. His passing occurred November 7, 2010.

Norma had worked for Indiana Bell Telephone Co. in Hartford City and Muncie and also was a homemaker. She enjoyed making Christmas decorations, especially in cross-stitch and was also known for her crocheting and sewing skills.

She leaves behind her three children:  Nancy (Gary) Soultz of Gas City, Doug (Becky) Strine of Hartford City and Steve (Amy) Strine of Fort Wayne; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. As well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband of fifty-four years and her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Elwood.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Eaton Union Cemetery 16301 N. State Road 3, Eaton, Indiana, with Pastor Mark Wilkerson presiding.
