Michelle R. Schwarzkopf
HARTFORD CITY, IN—
Michelle R. Schwarzkopf, 62, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2023 in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, after an extended illness.
A life-long resident of this area, she was born on February 24, 1961 to Robert Egly and Sally D. (Rice), graduating from Blackford High School, class of 1979.
She married Dee E. Schwarzkopf on May 11, 1980 in Grace Methodist Church in Hartford City. She worked as a beautician, after attending beauty college and also worked for the Blackford County School system, as a cook.
Cooking was Michelle’s specialty. She loved to cook and even with her passion for reading, she was known for reading cookbooks and recipe books any chance she had. Travel, gardening and canning were also favorites of Michelle. She also had a passion for dogs
She leaves behind her husband of over forty-three years, Dee; two sons: Corey (Ronda) Schwarzkopf and Denver (Jenny Langdon) Schwarzkopf. Four granddaughters: Brooklin, Kennadee, Brynlee and Aubrey Schwarzkopf; Two sisters: Minda Cysneiros and Stacey Terhune; two step-sisters: Rita Justin and Deborah Carter, along with nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services for Michelle will be at 11:30 A.M. Wednesday, December 20, 2023 in the Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City. Burial will be at the Marion National Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19th and from 11:00 a.m. until the start of services on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
