HARTFORD CITY, IN—
Lois Anne (Capper) Hall, 76, passed away Friday evening, January 16, 2026, at IUHealth Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, surrounded by her husband and loved ones.
Born September 5, 1949 in Hartford City, she was the daughter of the now late James and Imogene (Walker) Capper. She was a 1969 graduate of Hartford City High School and married George Glenn Hall on June 30, 1984, at Apostolic Tabernacle in Hartford City.
Lois retired from BorgWarner in Muncie, IN after 26 years of dedicated employment. Additionally, she was co-owner of Hall & Lips Auction Co. & Antique Mall and J & L Properties. She obtained her real estate license and had worked for Cale Properties/Coldwell Banker.
She was a loving grandmother who enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and loved ones.
She leaves behind her husband of nearly forty-two years, George; three sons: Troy (Karinna) Williams, Austin (Jamie) Hall and Andy (Christi) Hall. Her brother, Greg Capper and a sister Diane Abel; sisters-in-law: Cheryl (Jasper) Downam and Lori (Greg) Hardin, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her extended family/’considered’ daughters: Aimee Campbell, Rita Gillespie and Autumn Fitzpatrick; and special caregivers: Becky Pauley and Ronald Thornburg.
Preceded into eternal rest by her parents; her daughter: Kristie Hall (widower Brandon Hall); three brothers: Steve Capper, Mike Capper and Jim Capper, Sr. Also preceded by father-in-law and mother-in-law: Charles Preston and Mary Madonna Hall and a brother-in-law, Ron Abel.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, 2026 in the Waters Funeral Home, with her son, Austin Hall officiating. Burial immediately follows at Eaton Union Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends, will be from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
