Linda A. Bennett, 77, Hartford City resident, passed away in Ball Memorial Hospital on June 26th, 2022.

She was born on Dec. 2nd, 1944, to Leon and Ann Williams. Linda graduated from Morton High School, Hammond, Indiana, in 1958. She attended the IBM Keypunch School in Chicago, and then attended Ball State University. Linda worked for Cutting Inc in the 80's then the County Surveyor's office until retirement. She was past president of Psi Iota Xi, and an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, Blackford Country Democrats, Heritage Days planning committee, Blackford County Arts Council, Blackford County Election Board, and IU Blackford Hospital Auxiliary.

Linda loved to travel, especially to Florida and all of the locations of her grandchildren. She loved to spend time with her family more than anything, and was never happier than when all of her family were together for holidays or special occasions. Linda loved to sing and play piano, and was big Colts and Blackford Bruins fan.

Linda married Dave Bennett in January 1993. He precedes her in death, in January of 2022. She was also preceded in death by her parents Leon and Ann Williams, and her sister Cindy Stockwell. Survivors include sons Jeff (Mary) Seymour, Mt Airy, MD, and Daniel (Jann) Seymour, Nashville, TN, daughter Jennifer (Clint) Anderson, Antioch, IL, stepdaughters Cara (Steve Osborn) Bennett, Hartford City, Nell (Marc) Bennett-Halbig, Rio Rancho, NM. Grandchildren include Alexandra Seymour, Washington, DC, Adam Seymour, Mt. Airy, MD, Zayne Anderson, Nashville, TN, Luke Anderson, Louisville, KY, and Jeffrey Jordan Seymour, Nashville, TN.

Visitation and services will be held on Friday, July 1st, 2022, at the First Presbyterian Church, 111 W. Franklin Street in Hartford City. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with the service immediately after. A private burial will follow at the Hartford City Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Waters Funeral Home, Hartford City.

Memorials may be made in Linda's name to Cancer Support of Blackford County via Blackford County Community Foundation.
