Janette Milholland

HARTFORD CITY, IN--

Janette S. Milholland, 67, lifelong resident of Blackford County, passed away early Saturday morning, February 14, 2026 in the comforts of her own home, surrounded by her family.

Born September 25, 1958, she was one of six children of the now late Lloyd F. and Phyllis A. (Cox) Chaney.  Janette graduated from Blackford High School, class of 1977.

Janette enjoyed spending time with family, enjoying the lake and traveling to Gatlinburg.

She married Keith B. Milholland on January 15, 1977.  Both Janette and Keith were long-time owners of Mason’s Drive-In in Hartford City.  Janette later worked at Key Plastics in Hartford City and most recently as an Administrative Secretary for Smith Insurance Services.

In addition to her husband of forty-nine years, Keith she also leaves behind two sons:  Tom          (Crista) Milholland of Montpelier and Erik (Daniele) Milholland of Nicholasville, KY. Her five beloved grandchildren:  Dathan, Ava, Dylan, Caden and Allie.  One brother:  Michael (Kim) Chaney of Lafayette; two sisters:  Mary Battiste of Bluffton and Michelle (Stan) Roush of Marion.  Her aunt, Betty Cox of Gaston, an uncle: Les Cox of Lake Mohee, sisters-in-law, Claudia Dunica,Penny Michener, and Tammy Milholland; brother-in-law, Tracy Milholland, as well as five cousins:  Greg Cox, Wayne Cox, Tim Cox, Gary Cox and Lisa Bevins, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Janette was preceded in death by an infant brother, Lloyd Francis Chaney, Jr. and her sister Janelle Atkinson.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 19, 2026 in the Waters Funeral Home, Hartford City, with Rev. Kevin Lex presiding.  Burial immediately follows in the Hartford City Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, Feb. 18th, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until services on Thursday, at the funeral home.
