Herbert H. Campbell, 80, passed away on February 21, 2017 in IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie.
He was born in Dunraven, Kentucky on March 23, 1936 to Scott and Ethel Campbell and married Jeanette Neace. She survives.
Herbert served in the Air Force for 3 years. He attended Vocational Technical School to become an engineer surveyor. He later worked for the Perry County Board of Education where we worked in maintenance.
Survivors include his wife, Jeannette; son, David (Katherine) Rivera; daughters: Sandra (Charles) Wooton, Claudia (Bob) Rockwell, Mattie Stacy and Cynthia Johnson (husband, Eli); sisters, Becky Jane Williamson and Susie Henson. Also surviving are ten grandchildren: Rebecca Hudson, Herbie Stacy, Eddie Stacy, Donna Stacy, Robert Rockwell, Cody Rockwell, Ricki Rockwell, William Wooton, Nathan Wooton, Daniel Wooton; six great-grandchildren: Terry Adams, Erin Hudson, Carson Hudson, Amy Stacy, Michael Stacy, and Joshua Stacy, as well as several nieces, nephews, and may cousins.
In addition to his parents, Herbert was preceded in death his brothers, Raleigh, Ed, John and Jack, and two sisters, Ruth Cooper and Ida Messer.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St. Hartford City, Indiana with Pastor Steve Garrett officiating. Military Funeral Honors will be conducted by the Delaware County Veterans Honor Guard.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 12 Noon until services on Saturday at the funeral home.
