LEWISBURG, TN-

Freda Lucinda Turner, age 73, passed away Friday morning, April 29, 2022 at Maury Regional Medical Center, in Columbia, TN after a long illness.

She was born in Huntington, West Virginia on January 27, 1949, one of four children of Raymond J. and Catherine (Edmunds) Nottingham.  She spent her formative years in Hartford City, graduating from Hartford City High School in 1967.  Following graduation, she married Michael A. Turner on July 8th of that year.

Freda worked at Sinclair Glass Company of Hartford City for seven years, as a hand-decorator of glass.

She then decided to become a full-time, loving mother to her children, moving to Tennessee in 1993, to continue raising her children.

She leaves behind her loving and devoted husband of almost fifty-five years, Michael “Mike”; her three children:  Kellie J. (Glynn) Barber of Redkey, Keith E. (Laura) Turner, Murfreesboro, TN and Kim M. Swartz of Ossian, IN.  Seven grandchildren:  Ryan A. (Kayla) Sutton, Muncie, Katie (Chris) Englier, Norfolk, VA, Dylan (Deanna) Michael, Yorktown, IN, Brittany (Marcus) Price, Fort Wayne, Brady (Kortney) Swartz, Albany, IN, Nathaniel Kirkpatrick, Murfreesboro, TN and Gabby Kirkpatrick, Murfreesboro, TN; nine great-grandchildren:  Piper Sutton, Liam Sutton, Isaac Englier, Noah Englier, Finnegan Englier, Leonidas Michael, William Michael, Victoria Michael and Sophie Price.  One brother, Dennis (Roxanne) Nottingham of Hartford City as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Deloris Stapleton in 2021 and her brother, Raymond J. “Ray” Nottingham, Jr. in 2019.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 P.M. Friday, May 13, 2022 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Rd. #3, Muncie, with Pastor Bob Ball presiding.
