Diana M. Uhrick Flannery

Diana M. Uhrick Flannery, 82, passed away Wednesday morning, June 4, 2025 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Hartford City on April 16, 1943, one of three children of the now late George and Marjorie (Younts) Lewis, growing up in Washington Township, Blackford County.
A 1961 graduate of Roll High School, in Northern Blackford County, she was a Red Rollers cheerleader. After high school, she married C. James “Jim” Uhrick in Roll on September 16, 1962. His passing occurred May 31, 2012.
After her husband’s passing, she then married Larry G. Flannery on August 10, 2017.
Diana was known for her proprietorship of the Jack and Jill children’s clothing store in Hartford City, for many years. She had also worked at Citizens State Bank, in retail for the Sinclair Shops and also the Hartford Animal Clinic under Dr. Gordon Cripe.
She leaves behind her husband, Larry; two sons: Larry (Cindy) Uhrick of Huntingburg, Rob (Judy) Uhrick of Muncie. Two step-sons: Jason (Elaina) Flannery of Colorado Springs and Nathan (Jessica) Flannery of Oklahoma City. Her brother, George (Joyce) Lewis of Hoover, AL; sister, Connie (David) Foy of Fishers. Four grandchildren: Candice (Lorne) Reed and their children: Holden & Lakely; Kevin (Samantha) Uhrick, Corbin Uhrick and Daniel Uhrick. Three step-grandchildren: Riley, Bailey and Layla Flannery as well as nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Diana’s life will be celebrated at 12:00 noon on Monday, June 9, 2025, in the Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City, with Rev. Glenn Greiner of Union Chapel Ministries presiding. Burial immediately follows at the Hartford City Cemetery.
