Cledith L. "Bud" Davis, 72, passed away June 20, 2017 at his home.

He was born in Hartford City on March 28, 1945 to Cledith A. and Marie C. (Willmann) Davis.

Bud served in the Army and worked at 3M Company before and after his service in the Army retiring in 2010.

He was married to Carlene Sue (Rose) Davis for over 50 years. She passed away on November 11, 2015. Bud was a life resident of Blackford County and enjoyed gardening. He was a member of Amvets Post 23.

Surviving are: children, John Davis, Pennville and Lisa (Ron) Thomas, Hartford City; one sister, Isola (Eugene) Banter, Hartford City; six grandchildren, Rusty (Danielle) Davis, Dustin Davis, Alyson Gassman, Gaven Davis, Gabby Davis, and Gage Davis; two great-grandchildren, Payton and Ryder Davis and several cousins in this community.

The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 26, 2017 at Waters Funeral Home, 501 W, Washington St., Hartford City with Pastor David M. Fleener, of Zion Lutheran Church presiding. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, east of Hartford City.

Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, June 25, 2017 and an hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
