Clarice Ann Pierce, 86, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at her home.
The daughter of Paul and Thelma (Tatman) Jones she was born August 20, 1930 in Blackford County and graduated from Roll High School in 1948. She married Russell F. Pierce April 15, 1951.
Clarice Ann was a member of Independence Church of Christ and the Ladies Aide of the church. She was also a member of Progressive Homemaker Club.
She enjoyed cooking, gardening and nurturing her four grandsons. She will be sadly missed by her entire family.
Survivors include: son, Stephen Kent (Nancy) Pierce, Marion; daughter, Laura Ann (Steve) Coons, Hartford City; brother, David (Sarah Lou) Jones, Hartford City; grandchildren, Daniel (Kellie) Coons, Kyle (Julie) Coons, Andrew (Sara) Pierce and Matthew Pierce; great-grandchildren, Grayson Russell Coons, Sophie Maxine Coons, Clayton Johnny Coons, Colton David Coons and Tinley Renee Pierce.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister, L. Kathleen Ross, and brother-in-law, Kenneth Ross.
A Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 5, 2016 in Independence Church of Christ, 500N and 300 W, Hartford City with Pastor Les Bantz presiding. Burial will follow in Hartford City Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, December 4, 2016 in Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St. Hartford City and on Monday, December 5 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the church.
