SHAMROCK LAKES-- Charlotte Ann (Rousch) Wells, 88, passed away Wednesday evening, August 30, 2023 in Marion Health, after a recent illness.
She was born in Indiana on April 29, 1935, one of five children of the late Rev. Joseph P. Rousch and Charlotte J. (Roffey) Rousch. She was raised in the Evangelical United Brethren Church and graduated from Royerton High School, class of 1953.
Charlotte acquired her LPN and retired from the Veterans Administration, practicing in occupational therapy many years. She had formerly belonged to Kappa Kappa Sigma.
A naturally funny and quick-witted person, she was still the old-fashioned type and enjoyed many years of her retirement, with her husband of fifty years. Charlotte enjoyed the Home Shopping Network, in her later years and also followed CNN, keeping up on politics.
She will be missed by her daughter, Mona Jean Snider of Gaston; two grandchildren: Michael (Sherri) Miller and Charlotte Fridley (Mike); three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Her sister, Sara (Art) Whitaker of Fortville; sister, Jackie Altland of Arizona; her brother, Joe (Virginia) Rousch of Greenfield and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, her husband, William Kenneth “Bill” Wells passed last year; her daughter, Deborah Kay Snider-Turner in 2020; her daughter Vickie Jo Miller in 2002 and her brother Daniel G. Rousch in 1944.
Cremation will be held, with her cremains being interred in Tomlinson Cemetery, Muncie. Waters Funeral Home of Hartford City is handling arrangements. Condolences may be sent to www.WatersFunerals.com
