HARTFORD CITY, IN Clifford D. Rinker, 74, passed away Friday, April 20, 2012 at his residence. A native of Hartford City, he was born March 12, 1938 and graduated from Montpelier High School in 1956. Clifford married Carolyn “Sue” Enochs in Zion Lutheran Church on June 30, 1957. She survives. Clifford worked at Marion Malleable and 3-M. He retired from Dana Corp., Marion, in 2002, after 39 years. He also farmed. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Blackford Lodge # 106 F & AM. Survivors include his wife, Sue, sons, Jeffery (Deanna) Rinker, Montpelier, and Clifton (Lisa) Rinker, Hartford City, daughters, Susanna (Greg) Pace and Debbie (Eric) Jones, both of Hartford City; brothers, Gwen (Betty) Rinker, Wolcottville, and James (Betty) Rinker, Hartford City; sisters, Elonda (Charles) Pethtel, Hartford City, and Reda Belle (Merrill) Nottingham, Byrdstown, TN; grandchildren, JW Rinker, Kurtis Rinker, Dillon Rinker, Colt Pace, Casey Bolling, Levi Jones, Emily Jones, Trent Jones, Cameron Rinker and Kelli Rinker; great-grandchildren, Oden Pace, Thomas Bolling, Aubrey and Addison. He was preceded in death by his mother, Vardella Willman Rinker. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 24 at 11:00 a.m. in Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City, with Pastor David Fleener officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, east of Hartford City. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, April 23 and after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church, 308 S. Monroe St., Hartford City, IN 47348.
