CHARLES PRESTON HALL

HARTFORD CITY, IN Charles Preston Hall, 75, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Morrison Woods Health Campus, Muncie. The son of George Melvin and Nellie (Jordan) Hall, he was born March 30, 1935 in Carter County, Kentucky. Moving to Hartford City in 1949, he married Mary Madonna (Donnie) Houseman on November 22, 1953. She survives. Chuck worked at Stutz Manufacturing for several years, retiring in 2000. Survivors include his wife, Donnie; a son, George G. (Lois) Hall, Hartford City; 2 daughters, Cheryl (Ernest) Hunt and Lori Hall, both of Hartford City; 7 grandchildren, Angela (Greg) Workman, Majenica Knox, Lindsey Pettit, Troy Williams, Austin (Jamie) Hall, Paul Andrew (Christie) Hall and Kristie Hall;9 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Lloyd Kenneth (Diane) Hall, Montpelier and George Franklin (Betty) Hall, Millgrove; a sister, Maxine Adkins, Hartford City and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, John M., Ralph and George Melvin Hall and 4 sisters, Anna Hess, Beulah Litteral, Geraldine Hess and Norma Allen. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 30 at Apostolic Tabernacle, 1318 S. Jefferson St., Hartford City with Pastor Jerald Shelby officiating. Burial will follow in Hartford City Cemetery. Friends may call at the Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 29 and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
