Bulow Gross, 79, resident of Washington Township, Blackford County, passed away October 27, 2021 in Visiting Nurse and Hospice House, Fort Wayne.

He was born June 1, 1942 in Jackson, Kentucky to Nathan and Martha (McIntosh) Gross. Bulow served in the Army for several years.

He married Margarett Clemmons on August 15, 1968 in Wise, Virginia. They moved to Blackford County in 1990 from Cedar Grove, Indiana.

Bulow loved animals and had a collection of much loved and spoiled cats. Through the years he had horses, dogs, cats and even a goose, Norm. He had a special place in his heart for dogs, any kind, and had a beautiful way to call them. He loved talking with family and friends, making a daily habit of checking in with his crew.

He will be greatly missed and we will always be thankful for his “Ya Buddy” sign off.

Survivors include one son, Nathan (Jenny) Gross, Swayzee, one daughter, Jocelyn “Joy” Gross, 3 grandchildren, Mikayla (Willie) Skiver, Marisa and Mariah Gross, a step-granddaughter, Bailey Carver and great-grandchild, Reed Skiver.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margarett, on February 8, 2011, son, Philip, grandson, Caleb Gross, 8 brothers and 2 sisters.

Services are 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 1, 2021 in Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City with Brian Waters officiating. Burial will follow in Hartford City with Military Rites by Delaware County Veterans and U.S. Army.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 31st from 2 – 5 p.m. and Monday from 10 – 11 a.m.
