HARTFORD CITY, IN--
Betty Rose (Norton) Weaver Logan, 77, passed away Wednesday evening, May 17, 2023 at her home, after an extended illness.
A native and life resident of Hartford City, she was born March 19, 1946, the daughter of Arthur and Rosylean (Gunckle) Norton, graduating from Hartford City High School, class of 1964.
Betty continued her education at Ball State Nurse’s College, becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked many years at the Blackford County/Community Hospital and retired from Dr. Blake’s office of Gas City after eleven years of employment there.
Betty loved being outdoors and spending time with family.
She leaves behind her husband of nearly thirty-two years, Joe Logan; her daughter, Cheryl (Tim)Coffey of Greenfield; Siblings: Rosylea (Jerry) Hummer of Hartford City, Barbara (Lavon) Mills, Jr. of Montpelier, Rosella (Ted) Bales of New Castle, Joetta Flanagan of Hartford City and Mike (Judy) Norton of Clarksville, TN; her sister-in-law, Brenda Justice; five grandchildren: Timothy “Wade” (Jacie) Coffey, Bethany (Filipe) Beauduy, Elizabeth Coffey, Rachelle Weaver and Nicole (Kyle) Duke. Seven great-grandchildren: Clara Cookston, Alaina Coffey, Zaria Beauduy, Peyton Weaver, Bentley Weaver, Wesley Weaver and J.P. Garrison, along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Brantley Michael Weaver on Sept. 4, 2011; siblings: Alice Horton, Rosemary Seekell, James Norton, Robert Norton and Joseph Norton.
Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, May 22, 2023 in the Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City. Burial follows at the Hartford City Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 2:00 – 5:00 P.M. Sunday, May 21st and 12:00 noon until the service time on Monday at the funeral home.
