BENJAMIN MULLINS Obituary

Benjamin Mullins, 80, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2015 at his home.
The son of Oscar and Goldie (Stegall) Mullins, he was born on August 31, 1934 in Antigo, Wisconsin.
Ben served his country in the Army and attended Allied Institution of Technology in Chicago.  He married Frances Buie on March 10, 1956 in Liberty, Indiana.
He worked in construction as an iron worker for several years, and was a part of the team that worked on the Hartford City News Times, Hartford Concrete, and HP Products.  Ben then worked as a millwright for Delco Electric of Kokomo, retiring in 1996.
Mr. Mullins was a loving husband, father and grandfather. 
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Frances, three daughters: Glenda Hamilton (Mark), Muncie, Deborah Harper, Indianapolis, and Jean Cogan, Upland, two brothers, James Mullins (Dorothy), and Charles Bowen Jr. (Vickie),  two sisters: Sharon Hutchinson (Dan), and Beverly Masters, grandchildren: Michael Bennett (Stacy), Heather Thompson (Allen), Davin Cogan, and Danielle McClain, great-grandchildren: Michael Riddle, Aurora Bennett, Adrianna Cogan, Benjamin Bennett and Alison Bennett, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Mullins and Goldie Bowen, a brother Conrad Mullins, and two sisters, Ann Palmer and Dorothy Louise Bowen.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, July 18 at the Upland United Methodist Church, 214 E. Grant St., Upland with Rev. Rob Neel officiating.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 11:00 A.M. until services Saturday.
Memorials may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, 5635 W. 96th St. #100, Indianapolis, IN 46278.
The family would like to thank the staff of IU Health Ball Memorial Hospice for their kind service.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Waters Funeral Home, Hartford City
