Alexandra Nicole Hedgecoe

MUNCIE, IN

Alexandra Nicole Hedgecoe, 20, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 in IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.

She was born September 2, 1996 in Danville, Virginia to Clyde Wayne and Sara (Solis) Hedgecoe, Jr. Alex attended Muncie Central High School and enjoyed being with family and friends. She enjoyed movies and music and had a passion for animals, unselfishly giving to their care and was a member of PETA.

Alex's passion for animals led her to have aspirations to become a veterinarian and an animal activist.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, Jonathan Hedgecoe; maternal grandparents, Juan and Hortensia Solis of Muncie; paternal grandfather, Clyde Hedgecoe, Sr.; uncle, Geraldo (Erika) Solis and their children, Erik, Danilla and Aaron; aunt, Jacqueline (Sam) Little and their son, Sam, Jr.; uncle, Micko (Alicia Esparza Solis) Solis; aunt Dana Barnes Solis and her children Shannon Lamotte, Morgan Sargent and Christian Ricardo Solis, as well as several extended family members from Mexico and Texas.

She was preceded in death by an uncle, Ricardo Solis and her paternal grandmother, Dale Meeks.

A Memorial Service will be Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 820 E. Charles St., Muncie with Father David Hellmann officiating.

Private viewing will take place and burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery prior to the service.
