Hartford City

Yvonne Mair, 74, of Harford City, Indiana passed away November 18, 2018, at Bridgewater Rehabilitation Center in Hartford City.

Yvonne was born March 5, 1944, in South Shields, England, to the late James and Margaret Lascelles. She immigrated to Toronto, Canada, in the early 1960's where she met and married her husband, Gavin Mair, on April 16, 1965. They later moved to Southern California before relocating to Hartford City, Indiana, in 1970. Yvonne was a longtime member of Blackford Country Club and worked several local factory positions to help put her sons through college. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, sister, and most of all friend that will be dearly missed by all.

Yvonne is preceded in death by her husband Gavin, her parents, James and Margaret, and brother Billy. She is survived by her brother, Jim Lascelles of South Shields, England, her two sons; Kevin Mair and wife Tina of Jasper, Indiana, Andrew Mair and fiancé Jennifer Dittoe (children Grace and Jimmy) of Carmel, Indiana; five grandchildren, Brandon Mair, Jason Mair, Allison Mair, Cooper Mair, Kennedy Mair, as well as nieces and nephews in England.

Visitation will be held Monday, November 26 at Waters Funeral Home, 501 West Washington Street, Hartford City, Indiana, from noon to 3pm. A small service will follow with Rev. Lloyd Hall presiding.
