Thomas R. Hoffman, 85, died on June 15, 2023 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Anderson.

The son of Kenneth and Mary (Fuller) Hoffman, Thomas was born on June 22, 1937. He graduated from Hartford City High School and served his country in the US Marine Corps.

A union pipefitter by trade, Thomas worked for Guide Lamp, retiring in 1996.

He is survived by his children: Jay Hoffman (Kathy), Todd Hoffman (Terri) and Cristy Mathews (Kenny); brother: Kenneth Hoffman (Brenda); sisters, Emmajo Gray, Bonnie Haney and Debra Townsend; step-son, John Owen (Kimberly); Grandchildren to include Jerry Key, Jill Key, Jada Shetterly, Joe Key, Timmy Hoffman, Jessica Hoffman, Elizabeth Hoffman, Sara Ramirez, Taylor Russell, Clay, Tanner and Brooke Mathews and several great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Hoffman; six sisters: Carol Sue Smith, Mary Jean Matthews, Jane Ann Hoffman, Ada Hoffman, Patricia Hoffman, and Harriet Lapham.

Thomas will be laid to rest on the family space at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Eaton Union Cemetery 16301 N State Road 3 North, Eaton, IN 47338 with Military Funeral Honors by the US Marine Corps and the Delaware County Veterans Honor Guard.
