Samuel L. Hines, 72, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Bridgewater Centre. Mr. Hines was a native of Hartford City, born April 14, 1943, and had lived in Fort Wayne before returning to Hartford City. Mr. Hines had been employed in hotel/motel maintenance most of his life. He is survived by two sons, Christopher (wife, Crystal) and James Jeffery Hines, a sister, Linda (husband, Paul) Cox of Hartford City, an uncle, Bob (wife, Diane) Hines of Gaston as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of over forty years, Shirley A. (Cale) Hines, his mother, Ruby Ellen Fetty, a son, Andrew and two sisters, Anna Hurley and Sharon Dickey. Visitation for friends and family will be from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City. A Graveside Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 2 in Hartford City Cemetery with Father Dave Newton officiating.
