Paul L. Stanley, 79, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at his home.
He was born on February 22, 1939 in Hartford City, Indiana to J. Earl and Grace May (Marshall) Stanley. Paul graduated from Roll High School in 1957 and would go on to serve his country in the Indiana National Guard.
On July 3, 1992 he married Sally Gentis in Hartford City. Paul worked as a mechanic for the Indiana National Guard retiring in 1993. He loved fishing, took great pride in his yard work and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.
He was a long-time member of the Amvets Post #23 and the American Legion in Hartford City and North Webster.
He will be missed by his wife of 26 years, Sally Stanley; his children: Tim Stanley (Jody), Kelly Fulk, Dan Chapin (Teresa), Teresa Snyder, Janelle Gard (Scott) and Stephanie Fishbaugh (Jared); daughter-in-law, Penny Stanley; two brothers, Ray Stanley (Linda) and Richard Stanley; two sisters: Delores Paver (Ted) and Karen Kitterman; seventeen grandchildren: Jared, Cory, Ted, Chase, Garrett, Amanda, Drayston, Brooklynn, Karston, Bryan, Trevor, Connor, Kenny, Lexie, Kayden, Makenzie and Lane; as well as five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; a son Troy Stanley; a daughter, Krasandra; three brothers: Merrill, William and Norman Stanley; four sisters: Helen McClain, Betty Dollar, Mable Smith, Zelma Everhart; son-in-law, Jack Fulk; and one great-grandchild, Ryleigh.
Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City, Indiana with Pastor Ron Storms officiating. Burial with Military Funeral Honors will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Warren.
Visitation for family and friends will be at the funeral home from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. prior to services Sunday.
Memorials may be made in his name to the charity of the donor's choice.
