Norman L. Willmann, 85, passed away Friday, September 28, 2018 in Community Hospital, Anderson.

He was born in Hartford City to Arlo and Pauline (Nelson) Willmann on July 27, 1933 and graduated from Hartford City High School in 1951. Norman served in Germany for 2 years with the Army, then graduated from Ball State University in 1959. He married Marjorie Sills on August 11, 1958.

Norman was a chemical engineer and worked in the Battery Department of Delco Remy in Anderson for over 36 years. His surviving family include his loving wife of 60 years, Marjorie Willmann; his children: Douglas Willmann (Nina), Dennis Willmann (Karla), Larry Willmann (Holly) and Julie Kerstiens (John); two brothers, Eldon Willmann (Ann) and Stephen Willmann (Viola); two sisters, Nyla Hile (Max) and Claretta Dutro; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, Norman was preceded in death by a sister, Nondis and two brothers-in-law, Francis Dutro and Raymond Lee.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 4th, 2018 at the Zion Lutheran Church 308 S. Monroe St., Hartford City, Indiana with Pastor David Fleener officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Hartford City with Military Funeral Honors provided by the Delaware County Veterans Honor Guard.

Visitation for family and friends will be at the church from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Memorials may be made in his name to the Zion Lutheran Church.

Colorful attire is encouraged.
