Michael L. Williams, 60, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 27, 2012 in his home. A native and life resident of Blackford County, he was born October 7, 1951, the son of John W. and Ruth (Schmidt) Williams.  A 1970 graduate of Blackford High School, he served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. Michael was a former employee of American Woodmark, Gas City. Survivors include three sisters, Cheryl (John) Pendleton, Diane Williams, and Rochelle Williams, all of Hartford City and a nephew, Darrin Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, October 1, 2012 in Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St, Hartford City with Rev. Bobby Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Montpelier I.O.O.F. Cemetery Friends may call at Waters Funeral Home from 11 a.m. – 1p.m. Monday.
