HARTFORD CITY, IN Martha L. Elliott, 92, passed away Friday, June 4, 2010 at Bluffton Regional Medical Center. The daughter of Harley and Millie (Boxell) Banter, she was born March 25, 1918 in Wells County. She married Floyd K. Elliott in Hartford City on July 19, 1937. He survives. Martha was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Hartford City and the TTF Bridge Club. She worked as a clerk for many years at G. C. Murphy's retiring in 1972. Survivors include: her husband, Floyd, Warren; a daughter, Nancy (Roger) Falk, Roll; a son, Dallas (Laura) Elliott, Wilmington, NC; five grandchildren, Todd (Carlene) Falk, Lance (Lori) Falk, Jodie (Steve) Labordus, Andrew (Abby) Elliott and Lindsey Elliott;12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lorada Weatherholt, Montpelier and Lillian (Clarence) Murphy, Noblesville; two brothers, Leo Banter, Warsaw and James (Beverly) Banter, Hartford City. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Leon and Lester Banter. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 8 in Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City with Pastor David Smith presiding. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, Muncie. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12 noon - 2 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be sent to First Presbyterian Church, 117 W. Franklin St., Hartford City, IN 47348.
