M. Ruth Gause, 88, passed away October 9, 2018 at her home. She was born September 23, 1930 in Trimble County, Kentucky.

She married Ernie Gause on January 17, 1989 in Naples Florida and he preceded her in death on May 4, 1991.

Ruth was a homemaker and a member of Tri Kappa Sorority, Hartford City. She was an avid fan of the Pacers and enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events.

Survivors include her children, Rick (Suzi) Teats, Apollo Beach, FL, Terry (Susie) Teats, New Port Richey, FL and Missy (Todd) Teats-Wood, Anderson; grandchildren, Tanji Hawk, Tony (Jennifer) Teats, Torrey (Katie) Teats, Tasha (Aaron) Baker, Haleigh Shrock (Justus Norris), Torsten Wood and Toby Wood; 9 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter and a sister, Phyllis (Dan) Craft, Hanover, IN.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by seven siblings.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 13, 2018 in Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City with Rev. Lloyd Hall officiating.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 13 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Entombment will follow in Hartford City Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Hartford City Kiwanis Club.
