Kathleen Rhodes, 91, former Marion resident, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012 in Bridgewater Centre, Hartford City. She was born June 20, 1921 in Marion, the daughter of Frank and Ica Bell (Pulley) Speaight. She married Ernest J. Rhodes on February 2, 1946. He preceded her in death. Kathleen was retired from Foster Forbes, Marion and had resided in Hartford City for the past 20 years. Surviving are her children: Phyllis (David) Willmann, Ernest (Dianne) Rhodes, both of Hartford City, and Carl (Janice) Rhodes, Marion; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, nine step-great-grandchildren and one step-great-great-grandchild. Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two sisters, Delores Wiekel and Charlotte Pulley. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2012 in Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City with Rev. Lloyd Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Grant Memorial Park, Marion. Friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 1 and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
