Joseph J. Dornberger, Jr., 84, passed away Saturday, August 24 in Sarasota, Florida. He was born in Washington, Pennsylvania to Joseph J. and Clara (Doty) Dornberger. The family moved to Indiana and he graduated from Dunkirk High School. He was a member of the Church of the Incarnation in Sarasota for 39 years where he ministered as an altar server, particularly at funerals. He was a member of the Men's Club at the church and Knights of Columbus Council 15332. Joe was also a lifetime member of the Fleet Reserve Association, Fraternal Order of Police, and American Legion Post 320. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Joanne (O'Connell) Dornberger, his parents, a brother, Leonard Dornberger, a sister, Ellen Turney.
