Les was born in Hartford City on January 12, 1948 to Hansel and Elsie (Clamme) Love. He graduated from Hartford City High School in 1966 and served as his class president. He attended Ball State University prior to joining the Army. After his service during the Vietnam War, he graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor in Animal Science. While at Purdue, he was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity and was a member of the Purdue Judging Team winning the national competition. Les enjoyed watching sports, especially Purdue sports, maintaining his yard, and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may call at Waters Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 22 and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
