Born in Yorktown, Indiana, August 8, 1932 she was the daughter of Kenneth and Zora Madge (Bantz) Baker and graduated from Montpelier High School, class of 1950.

Jeweldine, in her earlier years, had worked as a waitress at Bill's Diner, had worked for the local phone company as well as a local paper factory.  She spent most of her years and was best known at the J.C. Penney Company, as a clerk.

On August 25, 1978, she married Jack D. Beckley, Sr. in Portland, Indiana.  His passing occurred August 17, 1992.

She was passionate for sports, especially being a follower of the Chicago Cubs, Indiana Pacers and Indiana University.  Those that knew her well, knew that you didn't interfere/interrupt during a ball game.  When not following a ball game, she especially was fond of the television series MacGyver, which ran for seven seasons on ABC.

Jeweldine also enjoyed gardening and flowers.  She also crocheted and was the fix-anything-person, in the family.  She was a member of the Amvets Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary and formerly the Ladies Auxiliary of the Moose Lodge.

She is survived by one son, Kevin (Cheryl) Snyder and one daughter, Roxann (Dennis) Nottingham all of Hartford City.  Step-son, Jack Beckley, Jr., four step-daughters:  Pam Stone, Connie Richerson, Debbie Donathan and Tammy Hornbaker.  Five grandchildren:  Heath Snyder (Tasha), Braxton Snyder, Regina Nottingham, Dennis Nottingham, Jr. and Daniel Nottingham.

In addition to her parents and husband, an infant brother at birth, two sisters: Virginia Murray and Charlene Baker and a step-son-in-law, Kip Hornbaker, all precede her in death.
