Jeffrey Wayne Hall Sr., 61, died on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital after an extended illness surrounded by his family.

Jeff was born on May 27, 1961 in Hartford City, Indiana to William and Norma (King) Hall. Jeff attended Blackford Schools and went on to work as a residential and commercial painter for Henry Batten and later as a mechanic for AA Rents.

On June 3, 1979 he married Edie J. Blakley and together they would raise their three children in Hartford City.

Jeff was an avid cornhole player who built not only his own boards, but built a home addition to allow for indoor play. He enjoyed playing in cornhole tournaments with family and friends. He also enjoyed bowling on the Thursday Night Mix-Up League in Hartford City. His team's name was the "Screw Ups". Jeff enjoyed playing softball and basketball and faithfully watched the Colts every week.

Jeff is survived by his children: Bridgett DeWees (Bruce Jr.), Jeff Hall Jr. and Bryan Hall (Shelby); his life-long partner and companion, Edie (Blakley) Hall; grandchildren: Bruce III, Nathan, Adrianna and Brianna; brothers and sisters: Mike Hall (Zondra), Rocky Hall, Tim Hall (Dreama), Darlene Bowman and Debbie Overla; sister-in-law, Lisa Hall as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Mark Hall, Larry Hall and Gary Hall and a sister, Brenda Hall.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Waters Funeral Home 501 W Washington St., Hartford St, with Pastor Larry Berry officiating.

Family and friends will gather at the funeral home prior to services starting at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
