Helen Jane Maddox, 76, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018 in IU Health Blackford Hospital.

She was born June 23, 1942 in Delaware County to George Whitesell, Sr. and Ellen Marie (Flatter) Whitesell.

Jane was a homemaker, loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed collecting many things. She was an avid Colts fan.

Survivors include her children: Deb (Dave) Wilson, Doris (Gaylord) Barr, Diane (Jeff) Peden, DeWayne Maddox (companion, Karla Hummer), Wanda (Jason) Bennett, Brenda (Rick) Walker, Barb Maddox (companion, Zack Mahorney), Charles Maddox (companion, Mary May), Chad Maddox (companion, Deb Baker) and Darin Maddox; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and one sister, Mary (Ron) Warner.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Stephens.

The service to celebrate Jane's life will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2018 in Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St. Hartford City with Pastor Troy Kaufman officiating. Burial will follow in Hartford City Cemetery.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 12 Noon until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m.
