Gavin James Mair, 75 of Harford City, Indiana passed away September 28, 2018 at Ball Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

Gavin was born December 24, 1942 in Ayrshire, Scotland to the late James and Madge Mair. He immigrated to Toronto, Canada in the early 1960's where he met and married his wife Yvonne Lascelles on April 16, 1965. They later moved to Southern California where he worked as a sales representative. In 1970, they moved to Hartford City, Indiana where Gavin took on VP of Sales for Sinclair Glass and became president of the company in 1988. Gavin was a long time member of Blackford Country Club and enjoyed playing golf and cards with all of his friends. He was also an avid Purdue Basketball fan and season ticket holder.

Gavin is survived by his wife of 53 years Yvonne Mair along with his two sons Kevin Mair and wife Tina of Jasper, Indiana, Andrew Mair and his partner Jennifer Dittoe (Grace and Jimmy) of Carmel, Indiana: five grandchildren, Brandon Mair, Jason Mair, Allison Mair, Cooper Mair, Kennedy Mair and nieces and nephews in England.

Visitation will be held October 2, 2018 at Waters Funeral Home, 501 West Washington Street, Hartford City, Indiana from 12 Noon to 3pm. A small service will follow with Rev. Lloyd Hall officiating.
