Gary J. Dickey, 63, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at his home.

He was born January 3, 1955 in Hartford City the son of James W. and Patty (May) Dickey.

Gary graduated from Blackford High School in 1973. He became a brick mason working many years in the masonry trade. He enjoyed learning about history especially on the History Channel.

He attended the Grace United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his parents, James and Patty Dickey, Hartford City; three brothers, Greg (Colleen) Dickey, Hartford City, David (Michelle) Dickey, Hartford City and Dennis (Paula) Dickey, Daleville. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 10, 2018 in Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City. Burial will follow in the Hartford City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 - 6 p.m. Sunday, September 9 at Waters Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
