Eddie was born on August 16, 1936 to Eugene and Lora Laverne (Murrell) Cansler, in Riverside, California.  He attended Hartford City schools and married Peggy M. Hummer on September 8, 1956 in Hartford City. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Peggy M. Cansler, three sons: Eddie E. Cansler (wife, Jacqueline), Brian L. Cansler (wife, Tammy), Stephen L. Cansler (wife, Rhonda), two daughters; Cathy A. Stone (husband, David), and Briean E. Woodmansee (husband, Eric), three brothers: Jim Cansler, Rick Cansler and Keith Cansler, one sister, Betty Carell (husband, Arthur), 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation for family and friends will be at the funeral home from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 30, 2015 and also one hour prior to services Tuesday. A dinner will follow the service at the Hartford City AmVets.
