Daniel G. Pearson

Daniel G. "Danny" Pearson, 50, passed early Wednesday morning, July 7, 2021 in Muncie, Indiana, with his family at his side.

Danny was born in Hartford City, IN on June 2, 1971, to Joe and Lucy (Jackson) Pearson.  He attended Blackford County schools as a child, graduated from D.W. Daniel High School, Clemson, S.C. and then attended Clemson University.

Danny was a farmer and had worked for Pearson Brothers Farms all his life.  He enjoyed the outdoors, reading and could fix anything.  He had a brilliant mind for all things mechanical.  His generosity, kindness, thoughtfulness, humor and wit will be greatly missed.  Danny had a heart that was bigger than he was and he willingly gave the shirt off his back many times to anyone in need.  Danny encouraged others and brought a smile to those who crossed his path.  His sense of humor and ability to listen had a positive affect on so many; often turning bad days into good ones or good days into better ones.  That is just who Danny was.

Survivors include his father, Joe (Anne) Pearson; mother, Lucy Jackson Bayles; sisters, Amy (John) Payne and Mandy (Will) Dornan.  Nieces and nephews:  Travis (Lauren)Pearson, Erin (Travis) Roush, Emily (Adam) Swagger, Kaity (Alex) Ort, Joey and Jenna Payne; Sam, Margaret, Ruth and Cecil Dornan.  Step-siblings:  David and Paul Bayles; Joe and Beth Lucas and his uncle, John K. Jackson.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Margaret Jackson, Cecil and Vida Pearson.

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life/visitation on Saturday, July 10, 2021, from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Pearson Brothers Farm, 0600 W State Road 18, Hartford City.  Funeral services and burial held privately by Danny's immediate family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hester Hollis Concern Center, 118 E. Washington St., Hartford City, IN  47348.

Danny was a loving and giving person. His giving nature continued after his death by being a donor through the Indiana Donor Network.
