Hartford City, Indiana Larry Dale Hutson, 72, of rural Hartford City, died Sunday morning, August 21, 2011 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. A native of Madison County, he was born December 22, 1938 to Carl Fredrick and Margaret (Girton) Hutson and was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving from 1961-63. Dale married Laura Wittrock on June 24, 1961 at Bealls Chapel, rural Madison County, and moved to Blackford County in 1970. He was employed over the years by Aroma Elevator, Frankton Mill, Matthews Feed & Grain, and later Fishel Corporation, in addition to farming. Dale was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Shamrock Lakes. He is survived by his wife, Laura; sons, Danny (Miggin), Summitville and David (Julie), Upland; six grandchildren, Michael, Christina, Miranda, Brendan, Hayley and Danyelle Hutson. His brother, Dennis, preceded him in death in 2007. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 25 in Pleasant Grove U. M. Church, Blackford County Road 300 S and Angling Pike. Burial with military rites by Cicero American Legion Post 341 will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Carey Cemetery, North of Strawtown. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 24, from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. in Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City and 9:30 – 11:00 Thursday at the church.
