Charles L. Pethtel, 82, passed away October 25, 2012 at his residence. Charles married Elonda Rinker on March 17, 1951, in Hartford City. She survives. He was drafted into the Army in 1951, served 18 months overseas and was discharged in 1953. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother & sister-in-law, Jack and Gracie Ann Pethtel, a special aunt, Mazie Current and brother-in-law, Clifford Rinker. Friends may call at Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City, from 1-5 p.m. Sunday and from 9-9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
