Carolyn B. Rains

November 2, 1949 – December 22, 2024

Carolyn B. (Adney) Rains, age 75 of Hartford City, died Sunday morning, December 22, 2024 in Fort Wayne, Indiana

A life resident of Hartford City, she was the daughter of the late Howard Leon and Nellie Marcine (Egly) Adney.  She formerly worked for Overhead Door Corp., of Hartford City and formerly attended Bethel Center Church of the Brethren.

Carolyn enjoyed her afternoon "soaps" on t.v., being The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful.  When having to work her shift, her husband made sure the afternoon soaps were recorded.

She leaves behind her husband of over forty years, Bill Rains; her son Robie (wife Tracy) Ring; one daughter, Lindsey Gore.  Three grandchildren:  Jordan Ring, Grace Gore and Chloe Gore; one great-grandchild, as well as nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, her son Marty Ring, granddaughter Kelsey Ring, brother, Dale Adney and sister Sharon Moriarity all precede her in death.

Carolyn's wishes were to be cremated.  Her family will celebrate her life at a future period.
