Allan Lee Scott, 85, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018 in Dupont Hospital, Fort Wayne.

He was born in Blackford County on March 30, 1932 to Hugh and Lois (Rawlings) Scott and graduated from Hartford City High School in 1950.

Allan served in the Army during the Korean War. He was known for many years for placing flags on veteran's graves in the local cemeteries for Memorial Day.

He was a self-employed mechanic and had worked for several local garages.

Allan was a member of Amvets Post #23, American Legion Post #159 and the Civil War Re-Enactment Club.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Thelma Scott, two nieces, Margaret (Randy) Noggle and Elizabeth Scott and a nephew, Michael (Korenia) Scott.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be at 10 am Thursday, March 1, 2018 in Hartford City Cemetery with Pastor David Fleener officiating. Military Rites will be provided by the Delaware County Veterans Organization.
