Alice Rebecca Brenner, 71, long-time Hartford City resident, passed on  Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at St. Vincent Heart Center in Carmel after a brief cardiac event.

Alice was born on July 7, 1951 in Rome, Georgia to Silas Henderson and Mary Allen (Rhinehart) Begley. She was a part of the first class to graduate from the new Blackford High School in 1970. She went on to earn a degree in medical assisting.

Over her life, she worked for Dacra Glass, Key Plastics and later in home health for Help At Home. She was a long-time member of the Lighthouse Church and celebrated her baptism on July 22, 2022.

Alice is survived by her children: Sherry Brenner, Tanya Brenner, Mendy Hammon (Todd) and Debbie Brenner; her sister, Caroline Koger; brother, Edward Lee Begley; her loving grandchildren: Allie, Zachariah, Chrissy, Haley (Spencer), Kaden and Bridgette and her nephews, Tom and Chris.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Allen Jones and Silas Begley.

Alice's family will gather starting at 4:00 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2023 at Lighthouse Church 2101 N Walnut St., Hartford City, IN 47348 with a Celebration of Life led by Pastor Troy Kaufman at 6:00 p.m. A dinner provided by her church family will follow the service.

Alice's family will continue to greet those that remember their mother until 8:00 p.m. that evening.

Waters Funeral Home of Hartford City is entrusted with assisting with cremation arrangements.
