She was born in Hartford City on July 20, 1939 to John and Mary (Coons) Adkins and attended Hartford City schools. Thelma attended the Calvary Pentecostal Church and the Apostolic Tabernacle. She had worked at Dacra Glass for several years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Ed Adkins, Billy Adkins, Marvin Adkins and George Adkins, Sr. and by sisters, Dorothy Studebaker, Lois Whitehurst, Irene Moorman, Alpha Hunt, Ethel Mae Slentz and Elizabeth Norton. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, January 16 in Waters Funeral Home.
