R. Ted Paver, 83, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2019 in I. U. Health Blackford Hospital after a brief illness.

He was born February 3, 1935 in Marysville, Ohio to Harry and Lelah (Overacker) Paver and graduated in 1952 from Marysville High School.
Ted married Delores Stanley in 1954 and together they lived in Hartford City and raised their family.

Ted worked many years for United Parcel Service. He was an avid horseshoe player and participated in numerous tournaments.

Survivors include his wife, Delores; one son, Michael (Shirley) Paver, Hartford City; two grandchildren, Jennifer (Tim) Wood and Jason Faas; a brother, Richard (Gwen) Paver, a sister, Dolly Lou Gibson and a step-grandson, Nash Yates.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Nancy Bibb, two brothers, Charles and Harry and two sisters, Ruth Rider and Clara Mae Ford.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. February 5, 2019 in Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St. Hartford City with Rev. Bobby Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, Muncie.

Friends may call on Monday, February 4, 2019 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Waters Funeral Home and from noon to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 5.
